Basic Services

Research begins upon receipt of your $100.00 check for a minimum of 4 hours required time. These four hours will include review of your family information, in-depth research of available collections, and a detailed writen report. This fee covers one family line or surname only.
If additional time is required, you will be billed at $25.00 per hour. Please note that the average research and report review varies from 6 to 8 hours.

Extended Services

Additional research or writing is billed at the rate of $25.00 per hour when the customer approves the additional time.

Common Additional Fees

Postage (Most reports returned by Priority Mail)
Copying Costs: $0.25 per page from Archives files, $0.50 per page from courthouse files, and $0.50 - $1.00 for oversized copies
Travel time to facilities other than Frederick County courthouse or Stewart Bell Jr. Archive in Winchester, VA
Parking fees (where applicable)
